McCandless has championed the use of infographics and data visualizations to explore new directions for journalism and design. His popular blog and best-selling book, Information Is Beautiful, is dedicated to visualizing ideas, issues, knowledge and data – and to discovering new patterns and stories in the sea of data.David McCandless is a London-based author, data-journalist, and information designer, working across print, advertising, TV, and web. His work is a response to the changing world of data and information.
